My name is Louise Garcia, a Filipino physical therapist and osteopath. 

Currently, I'm taking up my Master's degree in Human Movement Science and

I am not an athlete but I enjoy playing games and doing some physical activities.
watching K-drama and K-pop makes my life a little interesting haha :)

This blog is a side project where I I try to put my thoughts, experiences and everything.

my PT Life in transition

Last August 2023, after I left my full time job I decided to create a blog to share my thoughts and experiences about being a physical therapist. And now, 6 months later I have only posted 3 blog entries with nothing really interesting to show for. But I take it as it is because now that I am slowly finding my time, I could say my life has been moving too fast and I am so overwhelmed with literally everything. As  Bruce Feiler said - Lifequakes do happen when a "massive burst of change that leads to a period of upheaval, transition and renewal". For me that decision of leaving my job lead me to the unfamiliar transition in my PT life, which gave me more opportunities to learn and explore. I had a plan that I would apply in a part-time online job while I do some home care service side-hustles. But maybe God has other plans for me because I never had luck in securing an online job. Journey to Becoming a Physical Therapist: Setting the Stage

B ecoming a physical therapist is a long and unwinding road. But, if it is your passion and dream, the journey could be fun and exciting.  So let me share my story of becoming a physical therapist which started almost 15 years ago. When you reach your senior year, sharing your plans (ie. College) is mandatory. Your parents, friends, and teachers would ask you the dreading question "What course would you like to take in college?", "what school are you going to apply for?", what plans do you have after graduation?" Back then I considered myself a happy-go-lucky child, who just goes with the flow with whatever is happening around me. So, when I was called at the guidance office for career counseling my only answer was, I'm not sure which school to go to but I am considering a pre-med course to take so I can eventually be a doctor.
